A Humble Beginning

Just like any other high school graduates in the Asian community, our future is determined for us from the start.

We don't have the luxury of expressing our interest.

We bear the burden of our parents unlived dreams.

From a very young age, getting good grades is all that matters in life.

Thus, we keep on studying and ace-ing every possible test and exams.

Realization

I carry on that unlived dreams and expectations.

I done well in University and graduated with a First Class Honors.

Yet, it's the emptiest I've ever felt.

I accomplished something and nothing at the same time.

I never talked about it, not a words spoken about it with anyone.

Education is Always Important

That much is true.

Education is important, always will be.

There's no loss in having another educated person in this world.

I've invested 4 years into this education system not because I think education is the supreme.
Rather it's a calculated risk move to secure a better future.

A lot of doors open for people with education and skills.
I have the luxury of options.

It's better than having none or just a few.
